Touchdown Restaurant - Let's DO Trivia! - Blurb from 6/22/26

Touchdown Restaurant in Dover was absolutely rocking last week. You could feel the competitive tension in the air, or maybe that was just the smell of delicious wings. We had a packed house full of brilliant minds and people who just came for the beer, which is honestly my kind of crowd.

Things started out fast, and by halftime, The VanGoghs were painting a masterpiece at the top of the leaderboard with 42 points, closely chased by Magnificent 7 and Guys and a Doll. Meanwhile, teams like Salt, Stephen Hawking's School of Dance, and More Sass Than Class were keeping things spicy further down the ranks, proving that scoreboard numbers don't define your vibe. As we pushed into the second half, the leaderboard did some serious gymnastics. By the time we reached the final question, Los Yokels had sneaked into the lead with 68 points, but it was still anyone's game with The VanGoghs and Drinking Buddies * right on their heels. Speaking of heels, When I think "feet," I think inches... so for your Super Secret Round 2 Question 1 Art Bonus, draw an inch worm.

Then came the final question, which absolutely devastated the room 😱. It was a total bloodbath out there! Almost the entire house took a massive hit, with teams like My Favorite Team, Angry raisins, and The Quizly Bears all guessing wrong and watching their hard-earned points vanish into thin air. But three teams defied the odds. Morning Wood Lumber Co nailed it to launch themselves all the way into a fantastic third-place finish. Drinking Buddies * also got it right, securing second place and walking away with a cool ten bucks 💸. But nobody could catch Los Yokels, who answered correctly, clutched the top spot with a massive 88 points, and took home the forty-dollar grand prize 🏆. It was an incredible night of trivia chaos, and I can't wait to do it all over again. Make sure to gather your happiest friends, grab a table early, and we will see you later today at Touchdown Restaurant!

From the home office: Your host received several 'suggestions' that there is some googling going on. Folks, seriously, what are we 10-years-old? Sometimes people accuse teams bacause they won't stop getting on their phones, sometimes it's because they actually see or hear cheating activity. The best way to stop accusations is to simply stay off your cell phones during the game.Captains, you are responsible for policing your own teams.
